Woodpeckers Pre-School is a day-care setting for 2 1/2 to 5 year olds in Cranbrook, Kent. Woodpeckers Preschool is a committee run group. It opened in 1998 and operates from single storey, purpose built premises on the outskirts of Cranbrook, Kent. A maximum of 24 children may attend the preschool at any one time. The preschool is open each weekday, term time only. On Mondays it opens from 09.00 to 12.00 and Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays it is open from 09.00 until 15.00. All children are supported in developing their potential at their own pace. By means of developmentally appropriate play activities and a high level of adult input, we offer a curriculum, which leads to nationally approved early learning goals. These six areas of development prepare children to progress with confidence to the National Curriculum at the end of Reception/first year of school.These areas are: physical, creative, problem solving, knowledge and understanding of the world and personal, social and emotional.
